Mushrooms can be purchased dried, canned, or fresh. Some mushrooms are so wonderfully beautiful that it is hard to believe that they can be poisonous. Today, you can walk into almost any supermarket and make mushrooms of at least half a dozen varieties readily available.

Some varieties you can buy are Crimini, which are small brown mushrooms, Portobello which are large versions of Crimini, White Mushroom, Shitek or Wood Mushroom, Oyster, Enoki, Chanterelles, and Truffle.
